Each competition is owned by an individual or a committee group who has control over the many facets of the competition instance on Avogadro. Within the Avogadro competition, they are set as "SO Staff" and "SO Manager" users. They have control over the configuration of the instance, including uploading [[smarty templates|templates]] to change the look and feel of their competition, setting individual [[configs|preferences]] on what rule sets and features to enable/disable for their competition, and setting the [[events]] available to compete in for this competition. Additionally, "SO Managers" are responsible for promoting and demoting users to various roles in their competition. "SO Managers" can flag individual users as [[coaches|school coaches]] or [[judges|event coordinators]], and assign event coordinators to their specific events within their competition.
